The Midlands Physical Intervention Network was set up in 2004 in response to a growing expertise in the area of challenging behaviour management. Originally started as a mental health training network, the MPIN has developed over the years to look at all the latest issues around the use of restraint in delivering mental health care and challenging behaviour management.
There are nine NHS organisations that are part of the regional Network who meet on a regular basis to discuss issues that affect those who work in mental health settings who are looking to provide the best possible care. The organisations currently part of the Network are:
